All cultures, in one manner or another, believe in the symbol of the Tree of Life. From it grows all that is essential to living, from wheat (food), to the leaves (shelter), to the flowers (beauty, which is food for the soul). The new growth, still swirled and coiled, is our protection from evil, and the black background is reverance for all our ancestors who have prospered from the Tree of Life before us.
