The predominant orange and green colors are characteristic of the Hutzul people of the Carpathian Mountains. The orange is symbolic of power and endurance while the green is the growth power of plants, both important to the rugged terrain.
The diamonds stand for knowledge, encasing the star symbol of Christ. The triangles encircling the egg represent the Holy Trinity, and the orange of the triangle show the power and strength of the Hutzul peoples belief in the Trinity.
